The artist tried to concentrate on his work, but the attraction he felt for his model finally became irresistible. He threw down his palette, took her in his arms, and kissed her.
She pushed him away. “Maybe your other models let you kiss them,” she said, “but I’m not that kind!”
“Actually, I’ve never tried to kiss a model before,” he protested.
“Really?” she said, softening. “Well, how many models have there been?”
“Four so far,” he replied, thinking back. “A jug, two apples and a vase.”
Every appliance with a clock should have a Daylight Savings button to push. You’d only use it twice a year, but that’s more than I use the ‘Potato’ button on my microwave.
If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it will always be yours. If it doesn’t come back, it was never yours to begin with.
But, if it just sits in your living room, messes up your stuff, eats your food, uses your telephone, takes your money, and doesn’t appear to realize that you had set it free… you either married it or gave birth to it.
